Prosper North: Theatre Royal Wakefield

Theatre Royal Wakefield’s mission statement is: To develop creative opportunities and experiences both within the theatre building, throughout the wider community and on tour, encouraging high quality engagement across a broad sector of the Performing Arts. 

They have a programme of events and activities which are engaging and accessible to all members of their local community. They produce their own work including the annual Pantomime and their celebrated annual Wakefield Youth Music Theatre productions. Alongside our Creative Director, John Godber, an award winning playwright, they also tour nationally. The Theatre runs a busy Learning and Participation creative programme working across the Wakefield District.

Theatre Royal Wakefield joins the Prosper North community as part of Edition 2.
