Own Art supports the visual arts economy by providing galleries and other businesses with the facility to offer their customers interest free loans for the purchase of contemporary art and craft.
Own Art helps to stimulate the market for contemporary art by reducing financial barriers for buyers and sellers, making the arts more inclusive and accessible for all.
Since the launch of the scheme in 2004, approximately 69,000 customers from across the UK have used an Own Art loan to help finance the purchase of more than £65m of contemporary art and craft.

Over 320 organisations across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are now members of the scheme including commercial and not-for-profit galleries, museums, art fairs and artist-led organisations. Our members enjoy subsidised credit facilities, free marketing support and a range of other benefits offered that can help them to develop, grow and diversify their customer base.
Own Art is delivered by Creative United in partnership with our credit provider Novuna Consumer Finance. The scheme is supported by Arts Council England, Creative Scotland, the Arts Council of Wales and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
